Peter Shafe is a Co-founder and Director of OmnaTec, a leading name among automation companies and automation solutions providers in the UK. With extensive experience in industrial automation, Peter has spearheaded projects involving industrial reprogrammable robot solutions for factories, cobot arms in manufacturing, and semi-automated cells. His expertise spans automated assembly systems, automated manufacturing systems, and factory and engineering automation solutions. He and Kieron started OmnaTec to help those in UK factories and manufacturing businesses begin their journey with automation.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Peter has a proven track record of hands-on engineering, technical innovation and process improvement. He excels in developing high ROI solutions for manufacturers, ensuring operational efficiency and growth. Before OmnaTec, Peter held key roles at Gedore, Honeywell and Sondex (a Baker Hughes company), where he managed and executed technical projects both for internal and external stakeholders. His expertise includes product development, project management, and electro-mechanical design. Throughout his career he has been keenly focused on user experience and customer satisfaction. He also holds several patents and is a believer that a creative and “fail fast” approach can bring real financial gains when applied to manufacturing operations.
Peter’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
